The Downtown East Village is a residential neighbourhood within the eastern portions of downtown Calgary. It is contained within the city’s Rivers District. Calgary’s Chinatown is located in the northern portion of the Downtown East Village.
Many new residential projects have been recently completed and more are under construction. A recently redeveloped river walkway and easy access to the downtown core are a two of the main features of this area.
