Next door to Rideau Park is the Roxboro neighbourhood. In 1967, the two were amalgamated into one community association and they share the same amenities and bounded hill-sides. Many of the million-dollar homes are undergoing renovations, adding a modern touch to the century-old area.
There are a few houses that still hold true to the early 1900s architectural style, emitting a pristine old-school presence. With such close proximity to the downtown core, traffic to and from the area is mostly handled by nearby 4th Street S.W. and Macleod Trail. However, adding to the secluded atmosphere, 4th Street offers the only connecting bridge to the Mission commercial area across the Elbow River, encouraging residents to take advantage of the sidewalks and bike paths.
